This is great, except for this one little part. I want to be able to publish as fast as possible. Especially if I’m fixing a critical bug introduced with an update (although let’s be real, that’s never happened before, right guys?), and time is of the essence. I don’t want to be slowed down by being forced to type some garbage in the notes. Let me do that afterwards instead, once the dust settles. Enable me with the freedom to choose.

While this new update is amazing, it will take too long to publish versions of the game and roll out quick and urgent bug fixes that are needed immediately. While users can just spam keys, it should be off by default and able to be edited after the update is published using the new Studio’s notification feature.

It should show “Edit version notes” as a link, and when they click on it, they are taken to the menu to edit it.

OR: You can allow game (“experience”) owners to turn off the Version Note requirement in security settings (so in Development places, they can instantly publish, and in the real game, a version note is required.)

Out of all the changes they could have made to add friction to the publishing flow, this is the hill they decided to die on.

Awful change, our game World//Zero has multiple places under the experience we need to publish during updates, this is going to slow us down tremendously.

I love this, they should force this on every game and not let them publish unless they add MINIMUM 29 + 1 characters!!! On top, they should also force this for DRAFTS WHICH IS ALREADY THERE
