Reflection issue for some materials

I’ve noticed that the skybox is no longer being reflected in parts with Ice, Foil and Marble materials. This occurs both in the studio and player clients. I noticed this earlier in the month, and it’s still prevalent. I’ve checked with some people and they can confirm this is happening for them too, so it’s not just my computer. My quality settings are manually set to the maximum level.

This is an image from a map I made a couple years ago:

This is what it looks like now, with no changes to the file in any way:

This occurs across all the lighting technologies.

Now:

Try not to focus on the lighting changes, these images were taken with the Legacy lighting technology.

The Plastic, Smooth Plastic and Glass materials seem to reflect the skybox properly, it’s just those three materials that have lost their reflective properties.

The latest update did not fix this. Can this be addressed please?

Are you sure your studio graphics settings aren’t just turned down now? Go to your studio settings and go to rendering, change it to like 26 or whatever the max is.

They are set manually to the maximum level.

Go in Studio, place a block and set its material to Ice or Foil; is the skybox being reflected?

We’ve stopped supporting it after FiB2.5 update. It’s more expensive in current system plus it doesn’t make much sense for indoor objects to reflect the sky. Reflectance property in Part might be deprecated too because of the same reason. We’re planning to add more and better built-in materials, hopefully will sovle these cases.
