"Rejected" label incorrectly appears on bundles deleted after passing initial moderation

There is a UI-related issue in Creator Hub where UGC bundles (avatar bodies/dynamic heads) that have successfully passed initial moderation still display a “Rejected” label after they are later deleted for various reasons (e.g., DMCA, policy violations, abuse reports).

This is misleading, because “Rejected” is used to indicate a failed initial review, not a takedown after the item was approved and made visible in the catalog.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to Roblox at https://create.roblox.com

  2. Open any experience and enter Edit mode in Studio.

  3. Create a UGC bundle (avatar body/dynamic head) that meets all submission requirements.

  4. Upload the bundle and submit it for moderation.

  5. Wait for the bundle to pass initial review and become available in the catalog (this may take a few hours).

  6. After the bundle is publicly available, trigger its deletion through one of the following:

    • Policy violation (e.g., accessory/makeup rules for bodies)
    • DMCA takedown
  7. Go to Creator Hub > Creations (Group or User) > Avatar Items > Bodies > Bodies/Dynamic Heads.

  8. Locate the deleted bundle, it will show a red “Rejected” label underneath.

Expected Behavior

The “Rejected” label should only be used for bundles that were rejected during initial moderation, that is, before they ever appeared in the catalog.

If a bundle successfully passes moderation but is later removed due to policy enforcement, DMCA, or abuse reports, its status should accurately reflect that. For example, it could display “Removed”, “Taken Down”, or ideally state the specific reason (such as policy violation or DMCA). Alternatively, there could be no label at all, which would be consistent with how other deleted item types (such as accessories) appear in Creator Hub.

Actual Behavior

Bundles that successfully passed initial moderation and were later deleted still display a “Rejected” label in Creator Hub. This is misleading, as it implies the item failed moderation and was never approved or published.

Additional Notes

  • This only affects bundles (UGC avatar bodies/dynamic heads) – for example, accessories removed post-approval do not show “Rejected.”

  • Roblox Support often responds as if the item was never approved, using phrasing like:

Thank you for contacting us regarding your recent UGC Avatar Body (bundle) submission
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept this submission
    After review of your submission

  • These responses are inaccurate when the bundle was already live and only taken down later. The Appeals team also seems to be misled by this UI behavior.

Thanks for the report. This is an acknowledgement message. We have assigned to our team for further review.

Hi @raskolibov, can you please provide an example bundle ID so we can look into this further?

This is pretty much the case for all bundles that were deleted after being published, so I can share the IDs of the bundles I recently reported that were correctly removed for rule violations: 121472135951731, 198153255901291, 179778519886252, 258987799438430, 56089221854657.

Additionally, the bug I was originally reporting is that it showed as “rejected” for bundles that had successfully passed review right after publishing but were deleted later on.

This creates confusion between “rejected” and “deleted,” since “rejected” implies the bundle never passed review in the first place, while in reality it was approved and only removed afterward.

This misleads Roblox’s appeals team, as they treat these cases as if the moderation action just happened, even though the bundle might have been deleted long after publishing. As a result, they end up reviewing appeals outside the valid 30-day window stated here (6 months for EU users): https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000245263-Appeal-Your-Content-or-Account-Moderation
“An appeal must be submitted within 30 days of the moderation action affecting the account.”

That allows bundles to be re-reviewed at any time, even years later, contradicting Roblox’s own moderation and appeal policies.
