Release 618 increased load times significantly

Currently since the last update, our projects load times both in initial launch and teleporting has increased significantly. Initially, after looking at roblox status in vietnam, we assumed our localization in vietnam langauge may have played a part. After disabling localization though, load times continued. After more testing, weve concluded this is a result of our furniture in replicatedstorage for our building system. While we understand that storing assets in replicatedstorage can sometimes increase performance, we dont believe it would be increased overnight with no change by 70 seconds or more.

Load times to be the same as previously were


I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that noticed that. Just getting the client software open seems to take a very long time now. I suspect it’s anti-cheat related, but it seems to affect the Mobile clients too which don’t have any anti-cheat systems in them yet as far as I know…

I’ve noticed this on my desktop. Load times went from ~5-10 seconds to over 30 seconds.

We’ve identified the specific change that caused this and have rolled it back. If you’re not seeing an improvement, please restart your client (you need to close the app completely and reopen it). Thanks again for the report!
