I have two questions about this method.

  1. What happens with the Bytecode prop type, does this ignore it, load it or error out
  2. Does this support the newer zstd compression found in some RBXM files

why would they need a dedicated constructor under Content for this? Content.fromObject already exists which such a thing would presumably be integrated into

So I don’t have a console I can play Roblox on, but I’m assuming it’s split screen? If so, that’s pretty cool. Any control we have over it? (Like for example are screen guis rendered on the entire screen or for each player’s cut of the screen.)

since this and the latest update, Roblox takes lots of memory from my PC, and it keeps crashing, sometimes it even crashes my whole PC. I have a pretty good PC, so i am sure this issue is not from it. This issue has also been happening to many of my friends.

Also, when I close studio sometimes it just stays still on a grey screen and crashes the whole PC. Any way on how I can fix this issue? the studio worked just fine before this and the last update.

studio has also been extremely laggy, Especially the new explorer.

I dont think anyone would be mad at an entire studio or even engine surrounded performance update fixing a lot of these issues.

I am not mad I am just annoyed, I am in studio almost daily and for long hours so sometimes it’s pretty annoying.

Do you have the ā€œNew Luau Type Solverā€ enabled in your Beta Features? It’s had severe memory leaks reported before.

yeah but it never caused the problem before.

Please submit a bug report :slight_smile: If you can attach a reproduction place file, it would help speed up our investigation immensely!

Does the issue persist with the beta disabled?

I wrote a file format for instances to try and test what I’ve learned and THIS comes out days later :sob::sob::sob:

I have experienced two crashes close together, not sure if it is related to place. I think it may have something to do with game:BindToClose() as it does execute the function that is binded but after that studio just shows sky texture and window no longer updates to any click.

It is a team create game, I did not have the betas for the new UI.

It pretty fun to play around with window sizes in this state cause it makes some cool patterns

this isn’t how it works, ./ is based on general file system stuff you have in other languages like JavaScript. Generally . is the root file or the file the code is being ran in so you would do ./ to get a child and ../ to get something from the parent.

I haven’t disabled the beta, but yesterday the issue stopped for a couple of hours. Ill check back today and make sure to notify you.

is there a specific reason why this couldn’t be used inside games? there’s a lot of use cases for this, and it had to be implemented manually via lua in the past
