Looks amazing, the game is very well layed out and you have a really good attention to detail.
It features that small bit of depth, however mountains kind of have more height and elevation i feel like you could try adding hills extending to the mountains with rock formation showing through the snow. If youâre looking to add a little bit of details into your showcase to get a good looking approach, you can always mix some other formations of mountains connected to each other.
Make it look like you have to walk up to the mountain rather then having it small and not much height - depth put into it. You can think of other technique more as placing vegetation grass shapes of rocks just to give it a more feeling of a mountain. Using real life images are good ways to get a layout on how you want your mountain to feature.
At the start it looks decent. I really think what you should continue working on your showcase:
Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate them.
The showcase is still in early dev so Iâll keep this in mind thanks for the feedback
Hey there everyone!!! I made some major lighting changes fixed air pockets in the water (Though I still need to fix one) I hope you like the changes and to the people who disliked please play the game again I donât want your opinions about me clouded because of a nasty lighting bug!!! Peace out everyone!!! have a good day!
Thereâs a tiny floating terrain cube here. It blocks your movement when you run into it, I thought I had stumbled across an invisible wall first
haha lol sorry xD will fix that lol
Be sure to like the game!!!
The showcase is⌠eh. The scale of the whole thing seems a bit small, and youâre given too much freedom to explore the map which breaks the illusion. Try adding some fog or even more terrain to make it look more appealing.
The actual visual aspect of the terrain also isnât very impressive. You havenât used any different terrain colors (which can be adjusted in Workspace > Terrain) and the only technologically impressive bits are the two waterfalls, which to my knowledge are created with a free Studio plugin.
I suggest that you work on your skills and actual âshowcasingâ abilities before you make a portfolio or even complain about dislikes. Dislikes, like stated before in this very topic, gauge how well players like your game and more generally how good it is. Iâve learned a lot from dislikes on my own games and seeing them can motivate me to improve my own work so it is more appealing. Judging by your 5:11 ratio, the game needs work. You shouldnât disregard these likes and by the same token tell people to âbe sure to like the game!!!â. That comes off as desperate and it seems like you canât even trust people to like your game.
If you believe your game is truly good, then you donât need to tell people to like it. They should do that on their own accord.
Thanks for your feedback the game is still in early dev and I will admit itâs not an ideal showcase but people need to understand that this is a TERRAIN showcase it is just displaying what I can do it is not meant to be looked at in comparison to NoirSplashâs Mist showcase
A. I think everybody here understands that it is a terrain showcase. It just doesnât look the best in that respect.
B. I, for one, didnât aim to compare you to any other showcases or builders. I believe you can make your showcase and future ones look great if you put enough time into them.
Also, if you want people to know itâs a terrain showcase, the title should say (Terrain Showcase), and not just (Showcase). Just a thought.
