Hello, for a few months I’ve been working on a remake of the now shut down game called “Civilization” with its subtitle being “Sculpt Your World”: Civilization v1.42
I will document progress on this remake in this devforum thread, and hopefully be able to some day replicate the same or better feeling that accompanied the original game when I played it. I’m currently working on fixing bugs and issues with the game right now, as I’m writing this I already fixed 5 of said bugs within half an hour of work. My next stop will be the implementation of the war system into this game, where civilizations will raise their own troops to wage war for conquest against other states. So for some reason merchants didn’t want to spawn during the ancient age for civilizations, I checked it out and it was because they were still searching for settlement destinations based on names and not based on new ID tags that I just added. I made the former obsolete and as a result the code didn’t work and the merchants didn’t spawn. I fixed this quite quickly and now it works just fine.
