What the post says, simply I am looking for more ideas to keep it retro yet there’s a feeling that it was created somewhere this year; if I do make sense at least.
Any tips and ideas so I can make it better?

Looks really cool! I’m not a designer but maybe you could add some fog or atmosphere effect to make the transition to the skybox a bit more seamless (2nd Image)

Maybe future lighting so it has the new graphics but old map

Looks great! Only thing you could change is that it seems a little small. Maybe you could spread things a little bit apart?

the map looks amazing.However I think that you should add some lighting effects. I think that’ll make it even better.
