I plan on removing the shop and credits system from my game, which holds multiple guns and equipment.
This will be replaced by an automatic loadout system where the equipment given is based on the player’s role and the time period of the game (the game will progress into a timeline with technological advancements).
For example, naval personnel and pilots would only have a pistol, but marines and ground infantry would have a standard-issue rifle and other equipment.
The reason for the removal of shop weapons is to balance combat in ground-based game modes - it’s not fun for newer players with only semi-automatics to fight against veteran players who have bought automatic weapons.
Since I’m removing the credits system from my game, which players have “grinded” for, how should I compensate them with the new planned system?
