I have a bunch of places I do not want on my profile and despite several attempts to use the remove from profile feature, it just does nothing.

You could try reloading (prob not the response you are looking for but :P)

If none of your games were specifically added to your profile, Roblox will start showing all your public experiences under your Creations Tab on your profile, because Roblox wants something to be shown on your creations tab.
To workaround this, just add a dummy game to your profile and private it. That way, that game will only show on your Creations Tab, until you add new experiences to your profile.
