Well it’s basically impossible right now for a game to have 300+ players without having lag. You could disable chat and not load avatars but then there would basically be no point to the game.
Although Roblox allows you to have up too 700 players it’s by no means stable. I don’t even think Roblox has gotten to the point where the can keep a 200 player server in a stable condition.
We hosted graduation this year, and the server randomly crashed with 200 players (at the time it was 200 players with beta.)
Well the recent increase to 700 max players was rolled out in August 13 so they have possible improved this but still it’s a beta feature.
I would not have the expectation for 700 player servers to work.
We’re not expecting 700 players though, we’re expecting 300-400. We just have the 700 incase
Well Roblox’s recent increases in player counts are not exactly functional. It’s a Beta feature for a reason since it doesn’t really work quiet yet.
What this basically is saying is the game is running slower because of the amount of people in that server, and it simply can’t handle it because of the shortage of memory most likely. This is most likely because of the part count, and or scripting errors that are running that don’t actually need to be running.
Disabling unnecessary HumanoidStateTypes can cut down on lag, and a Luanoid can help even more. Humanoids are probably the biggest bottleneck in Roblox servers’ player size.
