Rendering Feedback

What do you guys think about my render?
Should I add this to my portfolio?

I was going with a Piggy vibe

You may want to consider improving lighting. Give cycles a try on blender, trust me

Another thing is the knife is very poorly placed it looks like it’s placed at the top of the wrist but the rest is good try 3pl with your lighting

Awesome! :+1:
But try adding lighting, and a background to the image

I like where you’re going with this it’s just the color that bugs me. Maybe up the vibrance on those eyes to help?

Like most of the replies say, add variation in lighting. It looks very flat, and better lighting will work well with future GFX art.

Increase the brightness, I can see nothing.

Cool, I like the vibe a lot, it sets the mood for a YouTube channel or Twitter banner. :+1:
Some things I’ve noticed that I don’t adore are:

  • The text takes up a lot of the render and is in a default Microsoft font. I think you could have spiced this up with a font from a different website (just search up some font websites online, I’m sure you could install some great ones!). I think it would have been a lot less obtrusive if it were to have been black with a small red outline or something.
  • The limbs have a very little amount of bends and make it look more rushed, I’d recommend putting more bends into the render or using R15 for your renders. I’d recommend R15, but some people prefer R6.
  • The light doesn’t reflect the theme of the render. Your avatar seems to be mostly black with hints of red, so I would have recommended making the light tinted red rather than yellow.

Other than that, I’d like to congratulate you on taking the time to make a render! It’s tough to make renders and it takes a lot of time to get used to doing.
Anyways, that’s just some constructive criticism, take it whichever way you’d like.

Thanks for the feedback. Also, I think the character rig was messed up because
it wouldn’t let me rotate some parts.
