My friend just told me about this, his old place he made has an issue with the lighting. If you go into studio or try the game online it doesn’t render the shadows properly, and yet the game thumbnail shows the shadows.
He is saying that when he drags all the scripts and models to another new game slot it doesn’t have this issue. He only has this issue with old games like 2012 and lower. Since the game slots he uses were around 2012 and below. When in the game File>SaveAs>New Game Slot it still doesn’t fix the issue, so it’s something wrong with the game slot I guess.
What’s his EditQuality at in settings? EditQuality may be set to a lower quality where it does not display the shadows. There are different settings for player quality and editing quality.
I just went to check it out and can confirm that GlobalShadows is definitely turned on in-game and I can’t see shadows either on highest quality, and it’s not caused by any other lighting properties or by the materials.
