Ok so recently in most of my games in studio all the beams have become brighter and has become less transparent. I have not changed any beams and yet all my games in studio and game have had their beams basically ruined. It would be really annoying trying to fix every single beam in all my games because I don’t even know what part of beams have changed. I haven’t seen any recent changes for how beams are rendered and my best assumption is light influence.
I don’t have previous photos but just assume that it is meant to look much more transparent and less bright. It doesn’t seem entirely at fault for the images but I assume it is because of the properties for some reason.
I can’t fix these issues because it seems light influence doesn’t deal with the previous transparent effect when there is a absence of light. If it is a bug there would be no point changing all of beams to perhaps change it again.
I don’t believe that transparency would change anything due to it changing the whole beam whereas light influence use to make parts of the beam more transparent if there was an absence of light. Also in what sense was light influence change, is it just to emit colour?
ok so, light influence does not influence the transparency of it, unless of course emission is at 1.
but, since from what I can see that you’re using the beams as volumetric lighting, you should have both emission and influence at 0 and instead change the brightness and colour to match the light
light influence was fixed so that lights in future lighting added light onto the beams (using the voxel grid) instead of nothing happening at all
