Rendering & Lag in Roblox

Lets say I have to locations extremely far apart with the distance far enough between them that Roblox will not render the other location even with full graphics. If each location has a part count in excess of 15,000 will the game still lag as if there were 30,000 parts (given that I am standing in one of the two locations)? Will what is not rendered or seeable in game still account for lag both in studio and in-game?

With StreamingEnabled you shouldn’t run into any performance issues with just 30,000 parts.
15,000 parts rendered in a singular location isn’t that much either (from my personal experience), unless a significant amount of them is unanchored. For example a house I built not long ago had around 20,000 parts alone, there was no noticeable lag in-game at all, although I’m unsure about lower end devices such as mobile/tablet.

In short: No, there should be no issues with this especially if they’re extremely far apart as you’ve mentioned.

Something not rendered in game won’t cause you lag, and Studio itself shouldn’t lag either unless you’re selecting a large fraction of those parts at once (such as 5,000 parts in a singular group model).
