Reporting chat message randomly returns Error Code 260, kicks from server

Utilizing the new chat message report feature seems to randomly return an error and kicks me from the experience I’m in. This has happened twice with the same player’s chat messages, but did not occur on a different server of the same experience with a different user’s chat message. After a while, the user was able to be reported successfully with no error.

Expected behavior

I expect no errors when reporting a player’s chat messages, or, at the very least, expect to not be kicked upon an error when reporting a chat message as it’s disruptive.

Hi checkersoda - thanks for the report! Could you please send me your logs that capture when this happens? This says Roblox Studio Logs, but Client logs should be in the same place: https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016022492-How-to-Retrieve-Roblox-Studio-Logs

Hi! I believe I’ve sent the relevant logs as I joined a lot of games around that time, but if the crash happens again I’ll send another

Replying to say that staff may have found the cause for this issue and have seen a drop-off in the errors and flipped off the relevant change. I will personally mark this as a solution for now and will make another report if this bug occurs again!
