I recently logged into my old account on Roblox and found some really inappropriate material… for no reason… on the recommended page, to be exact.
I’ve tried getting rid of the games, but for some reason… I found it’s tied to the popularity of the games… And also it’s happening on other accounts. I found that out because I went on an alt account and saw the same exact recommended, and even had my parent open their account… even then, their account was the same exact recommended page. To be sure this isn’t just a history of the games I’ve been playing, I went through the documentation of how recommendations work, and found it’s “7-day” stuff, but it doesn’t seem to be that in this case.
– These games are rated 5+ btw –
Here’s something else I noticed… even the marketplace is the same. Inappropriate UGC everywhere. And no way of changing the recommendation.
The games, too… are also showing up on the charts! It’s becoming really concerning at this point.
I’m sure this isn’t a browser issue, either, because it’s happening on the app. It’s also concerningly easy to search for these games. So, that means some kid can find these games within seconds. It feels like there are no filters on the website at this point, because these games just require a couple of keywords, and then they’re shown.
During this time, I actually felt like disabling the account to finally get the stress off my mind. Just seeing these games are making me stressed.
Expected behavior
What I expect to happen is that when reporting these games for once, they’d actually disappear from the view right after reporting them, but I’d also get an Email showing what I reported and whether it was banned or not…
But I’d also like to filter out keywords on my own… without having to find Roblox doing the work for me.
