I think RbxDev could benefit from an official chat wall (i.e. not an unmoderated Skype group) on this site.
Quite often I have a short question that quite simply doesn’t deserve a dedicated thread. This, and the other obvious advantages live chat has over forums (in many cases). I’d love to easily give feedback on your games and projects as I play them. In general I think a chat wall could be a really productive feature–provided, of course, everyone abides by
Many of us would happily moderate it, but the problem is it doesn’t impact here. People are willing to get kicked out of the skype group because they can just make a new one and people will join.
I think he wants a moderated chat because he knows that the staff will ban members? Like when things happen on skype and the staff can’t do anything because it was outside their channels
The Skype lounge is more for off-topic leisurely talk between developers than short, simple help requests. The things that do get asked in the skype lounge get filtered out really fast.

This confirms my reason why I don’t participate in Skype group chats. I’m only in two and this is similar to 75% of their discussion.

It’s not mostly like this. There’s lots of code, math, ROBLOX-related talk, science talk, etc
I could put together a lounge and promote Lilly and Echo to be able to remove people from the group, and also disallow other people adding users. That way we can keep a tighter knit on certain topics and remove users who do not comply. That’s not to say users have to join, but it’s more a lounge for devs who want to be much more on-topic.
What’s wrong with the #roblox IRC?
Plenty of ROBLOX employees go on there and it isn’t RBXDev exclusive. I found it a lot more developer-oriented than the Skype chatroom.
