Restaurant Game Concept

I’m working on a game, and I’m looking for thoughts and criticism on my concept.

Game Concept

Project Edwin is a realistic restaurant simulator in which the player runs his or her own eatery. You begin in a run-down restaurant and work your way up by renovating and developing new recipes! You’ll have to deal with a range of issues, such as unclean dishes, limited supplies, and dissatisfied clients.

Unique Selling Points

  • Everything in the restaurant is customized, including the interior and the exterior design.
  • We will add elements like bills, rodents, supplies, and much more to make the game more realistic.

Targeted Audience

  1. Computer/PC players
  2. Mobile Players
  3. (Possibly) Xbox Players

Inspirations

House Flipper

House Flipper is a game in which you renovate properties for a profit. Painting, tile installation, cleaning, installations, and demolition are all possible tasks. Players may repair and design their own homes, repair houses in missions, and buy properties to fix and sell. You will begin the game with a run-down eatery. As you go through the game, you will find yourself renovating your restaurant in order to attract more clients.

Sushi Shop Simulator
Sushi Shop Simulator is a game that I was originally introduced to. Sushi Shop Simulator is a game in which you and other players operate a restaurant. You are entrusted with making sushi, washing dishes, and purchasing supplies in order to keep the Sushi Shop open. The dish washing and energy mechanics were two mechanics that influenced me.

Work at a Pizza Place

Dued1 created Work at a Pizza Place, a job simulation game. One of Roblox’s most realistic restaurant games. The supply mechanic is something that has truly inspired me. There isn’t an infinite supply. The materials are supposed to be delivered in a large truck by the players. However, in this game, we will not be driving the truck; instead, an NPC will do it.

What Makes This Game Unique?

You must really pay the restaurant’s bills. There is a restaurant bank as well as your own personal bank that you receive for working (paycheck at the end of each working day) You have control over the restaurant’s power (lights). Cleaning the restaurant improves the ambiance and attracts more guests. You can publicize the eatery. Its parking lot should be expanded. Call and order the goods you require, then go to the truck and bring them to the supply closet. Dishwashing (you have a limited quantity of dishes)

If you can pull this off then I think it would be a game alot of the people who play roblox would love

I really like this idea. Sounds like the player will be able to do anything they want with their restaurant. AS for some monetization ideas… When you mentioned the part where there would be rodents, adding a Developer Product that could be called automatic pest control could be an easy way to deal with pests and get rid of them for a certain amount of time. When you mentioned supplies I thought of what would happen in the process of the supplies being delivered to you. A gamepass for faster deliveries or a gamepass with larger delivery trucks would allow the player to pick between the two and stack the two for even faster deliveries.

@ineedpotatodev Good idea, however I do see a problem with ‘You must really pay the restaurant’s bills.’ What happens if you don’t have enough money, making players pay to continue would not be a good idea since you’ll lose players. An option would be to allow players to sell furniture however what happens if they still are in debt. A loan wouldn’t be a good system since they may leave the game and not come back for a long time. So then when they come back, ‘Oh, I owe 1,000 cash that I don’t have.’ While letting players never go in debt, defeats the purpose of spending their money wisely. I really can’t think of a good solution on how you’ll combat this problem.

Hey Abcreator! Thank you for giving that scenario to us. I am currently trying to find a way to solve this problem however I think miles can work. The more you play the more miles you get.

Just a question, what stops a player from playing a short time and then going bankrupt?

This is already a game, but ig it’s a cool idea.

In my opinion, gamepasses such like this would destroy this game’s concept which is that you need to do everything on your own without any “skips”. Sushi shop simulator has the concept of no gamepasses and it makes the game enjoyable.
