Restaurant {SHOWCASE} v1.5

I recently refurbished one of my best showcases.

I added new order totems, replaced some other models, and adjusted a few PBR materials.

Looks nice, just everything feels really small for some reason, (probably because most restaurant games have a taller structure) but looks good overall kinda bright inside though.

Looks good but fix the scaleing its all so tiny.

I’m able to fix it, I built it back in October with the same issues (and I could not fix it), so I’ll just shrink the character down at this point

can’t say I am a fan of the lighting, it seems very, very strong for an indoor setting + too bright.

the assets seem quite nice but the scaling is off, feels needlessly small.

Looks nice, other than the roof being a bit too low I think it looks good,

Also I would make these screens more transparent, this way its not so bright. .10-.30 would probably be good. (or you could even replace it with a decal)

Other than that great build, somehow its not laggy, despite all the detail put into it. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks, also I’m in studio now, so I’ve partially fixed scaling issues and the brightness thing

Other than the fact that you can noclip through most thin models like the fences when holding the jump button, the building is great. To fix the jumping problem, set the jumpower to 0. Or you can disable the space bar.

The only issue with that is nobody would be able to get off the seats. :frowning:

I can however use invisible walls

edit: good night, feedback will be checked tomorrow morning and corrected 18 hours after this was written

This isn’t indoor lighting at all. I’m really starting to doubt you can tell the difference between indoor and outdoor lighting.

Indoor lighting is never this bright.

Also for the love of God, please learn how to properly use textures. Just because you can make some tiny little detail with parts does not mean you’re a god at building.

These grey things could be easily replaced with a texture:

Also jesus christ, do you not have a scaling rig? This scaling makes everything worse.

If you really want to be realistic then at least try to not have a pattern. No restaurant has machines placed like this.

Also spend some time on the outside area, don’t give it only 10 seconds of effort

Metal isnt this reflective

This looks awful in nearly every way.

Why is everything so reflective? This isnt realistic at all.

WHY. Why did you do this with individual parts? Do you just not care about optimization?

This build needs severe improvement, and so do you and how you build.
The tiles are too small, Everythings overly reflective, Excessive parts, And much, much, more.
Do better man.

You genuinally need to practice more with lighting, and imperfections.

Look at references, use more textures, and stop abusing future.

Everything here looks too artificial, doesnt feel realistic at all.

And please, use a scale reference.

I’ve seen a McDonalds like that.

To be fair you need to do a better job at designing in general. It looks more like a factory/warehouse at first glance as it doesn’t even look like a complete building. Also, the decor is way too repetitive and no real place would have stuff laid out like this. This needs color and also need to use textures and decals as the design is rather bland.

If you are a beginner then the build is ‘ok’. But if you are not new then the build need alot more development and improvements in lightning.
