Restored Dynamic Head Mesh Still Treated as Deleted, Preventing Bundle Uploads to Marketplace

A Dynamic Head mesh that was previously deleted due to a DMCA takedown was successfully restored after waiting approximately two weeks for my DMCA counter notice to be processed and approved by Roblox Support. The asset was fully restored, is now publicly accessible via its asset ID, and no longer marked as moderated or deleted.

While the mesh is now accessible and has been officially restored, attempting to upload a character bundle that includes this mesh still fails. Roblox Studio treats the Mesh ID as invalid only during the final submission step of the upload process.

When I click “Save to Roblox”, select the category (Head), and go through initial validation, everything passes and no moderated assets are flagged. If any dependency (like the mesh or texture) were actually still moderated or deleted, Studio would have shown an error at this stage — but it does not.

Upon clicking “Submit for 750”, an error appears:

“Error creating bundle. Invalid body part asset IDs. No Robux was deducted.”

This issue is specific to restored assets. Other bundles that contain meshes that were never moderated or deleted upload successfully, which confirms that Studio or backend validation still sees the restored mesh as invalid — likely due to stale moderation state or caching.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Restore a Dynamic Head mesh that was previously deleted (e.g., via DMCA counter notice and Roblox Support).

  2. Create a character bundle that uses the restored Dynamic Head mesh as a body part asset.

  3. In Studio, click “Save to Roblox” and select category “Head”.

    • :white_check_mark: Validation passes successfully.
  4. Click “Submit for 750” to publish the bundle to the Marketplace.

    • :x: Error occurs: "Invalid body part asset IDs."

Private Information (Shared via Private Message)

The following information will be provided via private message for staff review:

  • Account username and User ID
  • Restored Dynamic Head mesh ID
  • Support ticket details related to the DMCA counter notice

Expected behavior

Studio should recognize the restored mesh as valid at all stages of the uploading process. If the asset is no longer moderated and is accessible, then bundles using it should upload successfully without any errors.
