As a Roblox developer and player, it is currently too hard to scope Avatar Shop use cases to strictly UGC accessories. Anything from trends to recommendations now also include Avatar Shop items by Roblox and there’s no longer a way for me to see only UGC accessories.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development and shopping experience because I could be able to better see what recommendations can be tailored towards my shopping (lately, that’s only UGC) or creating without Roblox-uploaded items. It is clear that besides Limiteds, UGC accessories are the way forward for the Avatar Shop and what kinds of items users want to buy. As a potential creator, I could also see what types of items users like to buy (think market research). It could also help me if I want to potentially commission Roblox-only avatar merchandise.
Roblox has a disrespectful and terrible history of removing user-facing features without providing an adequate alternative first. Removal of the Community Creations tabs hurts UGC accessory creators just as much as removing genre sorts hurts small, independent developers who do not wish to compete on irrelevant metrics or over-finance with no returns guarantees in order to have a slim chance at discovery. The Community Creations tab makes it harder for both developers and players to discover non-Roblox avatar items.
