Heyo,
It’s been a while since I was last here. Just wanted to get some feedback on the cool weapons I’ve been making.
I made these weapons after playing the game ZOぞ by the ITTO Development team. It’s a nice fighting game with some great mechanics. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in games with complex sword mechanics.
I work with Blender and Substance Painter to make and texture weapons, small objects and am currently learning to make larger builds. I also script and do GFX (not the best at GFX though).
The first one is a Katana
This is it in Substance Painter
And this is it in Roblox. My main issue was that I had too much reflectance + I scuffed the texture margins so parts are a little scuffed.
The second is a longsword,
I used the knife tool to cut the holes in the hilt, my accuracy wasn’t perfect with it I’m afraid.
And yes the top end does have two beveled and slightly curved parts.

I still need to work more with handling the Roblox environment for sure and I definitely want to spend more time adding more to these weapons. Their poly counts are really little, I think it’s around 2k and 3k tris.
Next time I will also try adding a Japanese inscription to my next Katana as well to give it more interest.
And since I don’t need the items at all, listed at the bottom of the post is the weapon’s FBX files + their texture pngs. Please note that because of scuffing on the Katana there are some issues with the texture so it looks slightly worse for wear.
