Rewarding Free Limited UGC for Completing Certain Steps

Heyo there,

I would like to know if offering Free UGC items in exchange for completing certain tasks in a game is allowed, and what the current rules are regarding this.

For example, the user would need to complete these steps:

  • Join a Roblox Group
  • Reach level 50
  • Play for 2+ hours

Once the user completes these steps, a prompt to claim the free item would appear on the screen.

From what I’ve read, this seems to be a gray area in the Terms of Service. I found some information about restrictions on Likes and Favorites but couldn’t find a definitive answer regarding Free Limited UGC items. Additionally, there are very few discussions on this topic, which is why I’m creating a new one.

If anyone is aware of the rules, or if a Roblox Staff member could respond, I would greatly appreciate it so I can ensure that this is possible and not against any rules.

I think it’s accepted, I’ve seen quests like this before.

Well I have seen as well previously, but I was hoping I could get a better confirmation. Unfortunately just because those exist, doesn’t exactly mean they are allowed.
