Rig not animating correctly when wielding a large object

  1. What do you want to achieve?
    I’m trying to make an animation of where my rig is swinging a massive mace

  2. What is the issue?
    For some reason when i rotate it’s arm or the grip of the mace it rotates the npc instead of the mace
    but when i decrease the size of the mace it works completely fine.

When the mace is at it’s normal size

3.What solutions have you tried so far?
None. I haven’t tried looking for solutions because i don’t know how to describe it when searching it and i believe this is an obscure problem.

This is a bug right?
