Rigging a r6 character is not working in blender

Greetings devs! i’m currently facing an issue with my blender animator.

as you can see in the following video when I try rigging my r6 character it only rigs the head for some odd reason and no other bones are visible, entering pose mode doesn’t fix the issue either

I’m using blender 2.83LTS and I followed a tutorial from YouTube:

its also worth stating that rigging a r15 character is working with no issues.
any help is appreciated.

Make sure there are no warnings when exporting the rig. Also make sure to only select the object named “_RigMeta” and nothing else.

I exported a new rig just to be safe and selected the “_RigMeta” as you said but I still got the same result, any other suggestions?

Are there any warnings while exporting? Make sure your primary part is the humanoid root part and it’s anchored as well as making sure that there are NO decals or images of any sort in your mesh.

I’m sure I have everything in order, there are 0 warnings and both of the Head and the HumanoidRootPart are anchored because for some reason it doesn’t let me export the rig without anchoring the head.

I still don’t know what exactly is causing the issue

I’ve got it all fixed! the issue was with the rig as you said, I had to get a rig from the toolbox and it worked.
Thank you for your help Katie!

You need to set the rigs primary part to the humanoid root part. That’s why it didn’t work.
