Right Arm Jolts After Jumping [R6]

Visual Aids:

ANY game that uses R6.
System Information:
I don’t think this will help fix the bug, as it happened on my old device which had different system information, and it also happens on my new one. To ENG: If it is needed for this, please let me know and I will provide it.

Expected behavior

Expected Outcome:

Right arm should go back to the normal position, like the left arm.

Actual Outcome

Right arm jolts aggressively back 90 degrees or so.

Note:

This animation glitch has been present for a long time, at least since around 2016. I’ve personally observed it, and wanted to report it now that I’m able to. I noticed it because I tend to focus on small details.

I forgot to post reproduction steps, my apologies.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start walking, hold down the W key.
  2. Press jump (ONLY ONCE), while walking.
  3. Keep walking when you land.
  4. Observe closely, it happens fast, the right arm should jolt.

I tested it in one of my own games, and it happens as well.

It may be because that’s the way the animation has been set up.
When the player lands it looks like the first step forward is with the right foot. This would mean a rearward swinging right arm.
The animation might be done this way to give the illusion of the player colliding with the ground and swinging their arm back for balance upon impact.

But it doesn’t happen in R15/RTHRO (idk if it’s the same thing)

It happens even when going backwards with shift lock enabled.

In an animation the frames are set up the same. It doesn’t matter how it’s played, it’ll look identical.
