Right clicking an instance in Explorer clicks twice sometimes

Often times, using Roblox Studio, I encounter an annoying issue that wastes some of my time.

Right clicking on an instance in the Explorer in Roblox Studio does not behave properly.

What should happen is that the options for the instance should appear after right clicking something like usual.

What actually happens is that Roblox Studio thinks you are right clicking twice and therefore clicks on whatever option is under your mouse cursor after the menu opens. For me, this is usually the “Cut” option (copy and delete), but other options do this as well…

To reproduce this, right click an instance in the Explorer in Roblox Studio. Sometimes, Roblox Studio will close the right click menu immediately and do something else instead of showing the right click options menu. The action is whatever option button is under the mouse cursor (Cut, Add Part, etc.) This does not happen consistently.

This issue has occurred on both my old Windows 10 computer and my new Windows 11 computer.

Might be because of your mouse (mice start to double click sometimes after a lot of use)

I do not experience any issues with right clicking outside of Roblox Studio.

I know of this happening on Macs (and I do want to find the time to fix it there), but this is the first I’m seeing it on Windows and I would not have any clue as to why this is happening

I know you said this does not happen outside of Studio, but out of an abundance of caution do you think you could find the ability to try a different mouse for a bit and see if it still happens?

Okay, I’ll see if I have an older mouse somewhere.

I don’t know why I never experienced the issue outside Roblox Studio, but I’ve confirmed that the issue is with my mouse. Apologies for the understanding!
