I received a message from Roblox today asking of a right-of-erasure-request for a user id: 1438910975.
At first I didn’t think much of it, matter of fact, I was going to “erase” the user in question. However, I entered their UserID in place of the profile link to see which user I was being requested to erase, and the user didn’t exist. Now, I am 90% sure this was because the user was terminated, but in that case, what should I do? Am I gonna get punished if I don’t erase this seemingly nonexistent user?
VERY IMPORTANT: The games mentioned in the message did not use datastores at time of development, meaning the only thing the email was requesting I delete was any mention of the user in question, but really can’t figure out what user they’re talking about.
To clear things up, nothing bad will happen to your account or game if you do nothing about this.
Usually this request is sent when an account is deleted, whether through termination or the user deleted their account.
Considering you dont know what their name was, and there isnt much of a way to get it, along with that they have no data in your game, there isnt much else you can do, and I’d just ignore it.
Alright, I’ll move it. I wasn’t aware what category to use haha. The topic was mostly conflicting because I made the games like 2 - 3 years ago and because of that didn’t know what to do. Thank you for clearing up my worries though!
