Using the Rights Manager Claims beta, I sent a report on two infringing assets (two retextured assets) and I sent a report to the copyright_agent@roblox.com email at the same time. One of the Rights Manager claims was accepted, and the other claim was rejected for some reason. However, copyright_agent successfully accepted both claims and removed both infringing assets after.
Somehow, the infringing asset that was rejected by the Rights Manager Claims beta and accepted by copyright_agent was restored without me being notified at all. I think the Rights Manager Claims beta allows them to keep restoring it even though it was deleted by copyright_agent. I’ve requested the copyright_agent to takedown twice so far and it keeps getting restored afterward using the same Rights Manager ID. EDIT: It’s been taken down three times now and thankfully hasn’t been restored back, hopefully it doesn’t continue and the bug gets fixed.
Expected behavior
I expect takedown requests from copyright_agent to override the status of Rights Manager claims. Rights Manager claims shouldn’t be used to restore infringing assets perpetually, it should only be a one-time thing.
Hi dvd, thanks for bringing this up, will raise with the team. when you say “keeps getting restored afterward using the same Rights Manager ID”, can you clarify what that means? On our end it looks like your claim was disputed once and then escalated to a takedown request.
I submitted a Rights Manager claims and a Copyright Agent report at the same time. The claim was disputed once and then escalated to a takedown request that was rejected while another claim of a different color was accepted – before I received a response from the Copyright Agent. After that, Copyright Agent responded saying that they were both infringing and took both of them down. I confirmed that they were both deleted. A few hours later I noticed that the one that was rejected by Rights Manager got restored without notifying me. I sent another takedown request to Copyright Agent and they took it down again, then a few hours later it got restored again, and I requested another takedown. Overall, it was restored twice to only the one that Rights Manager rejected before it stayed deleted the third time. I am unsure whether they used the Rights Manager dispute to keep bringing it back up again.
