Ripple Step - Positional and Rotational floor movement

Ripple Step, is a simple and effective tile or floor on step movement Module.

Each tile is split into four Quadrants with attachments at their base and a Root attachment in the centre of each tile.

It uses Align position and Align rotation, and the simple touched event to detect input.

Lastly it requires two Collission Groups:

  • Floors, is the group for each tile.
  • UnderFloor, is the group for the parts colliding with each tile

Upon touching the tile, it aligns the position and rotation of the tile based on the direction and distance the basepart or player is translated from it.

  • The tiles are fully customizable

  • Several adjustable settings

  • Can detect either or both humanoid and non humanoid objects

Nice! This looks pretty cool, but the applications for this are extremely limited, especially with the added processes - imagine this with many players. Like yeah it’s not that intensive but still. Regardless, this looks great, I just don’t see the vision.

Edit: Also really cool thumbnail photo thing with the logo!

thanks for the input, and thumbnail took me a bit of time too lol. I’ll be updating the post over time to make it performance-worthy.

Could you upload it to youtube since gyazo takes 100 years to load and stops every second of video to load 1 more second which takes like 20 seconds
Either doesn’t load at all

ye sure give me a few minutes, sorry for late reply just very busy

I’m not really sure what this does, like maybe I’m just missing something crucial but it looks like it just changes a part when a player touches it.

Is it attempting to change based on WHERE the player steps on the tile?

it changes the parts cframe based on where a character touches it, using two constraints and few attachments
