So um… this happened:

HELP! IM BEING SWALLOWED BY THE WORLDS BIGGEST CAIK!!!eleven!!!

I agreed with someone that we would gather 1 million troops before we end the game. Was fun.

My suggestion is making the map bigger and giving a bit of breathing room each player, as it’s hard to move around when you’re surrounded by 3 different people. I’d also recommend a “Target Point” so when factories make troops or what ever they’d be sent to the target point, if you haven’t already thought of that.

EDIT: I added an image showing how I was practically cornered.

Ooooh! remake of SML’s blob wars <3

 I loved Nano Wars! Going to try this later.

player points added everyone get in on that early bacon.

I just burned 4 or so hours on this game. It’s awesome

Great game. Looks amazing so far and it’s very fun.

Bug report:

Seems to have broken when I had exactly 70% and my enemy had 0%, but still had units. Everything just froze in place.
I tried forfeiting but then everything stayed just as frozen and I was in spectate mode. I attempted the forfeit after everyone else had left.

This game looks really fun. I tried to play it, but apparenty my client was lagging behind everyone else’s. Any chance you could fix it?

You should find an investor or something so you can advertise it and get some more games going.

It looks amazing! Great concept and beautiful design  My only complaint is that I got bored watching other people play and left before I could join their game. You should either make a matchmaking system of sorts or allow spectators to influence the game in some sort of way.

Also, little rounding issue.
My guess it you used math.floor(value), instead of math.floor(value+.5). That made it so 60% + 39% = 100% (99% = 100%)

Even rounding correctly can cause issues like that. ( 33.33 +33.33+33.33=100)

Something else I found out recently is just how much data this game must be sending over the network.

In normal circumstances, the game gets a bit slow in both response and movement when there’s a lot of pieces moving around (1 to 5 second delay). This got even worse (> 2 minutes for it to send units or build structures) when someone else in the house was streaming a movie. While I do have incredibly slow internet, this is behavior that I believe will affect other players and could be lessened.

So basically: Risky Strats sends a ton of stuff over the network and it would be awesome if it wasn’t so network heavy.

Reading through other responses, I believe this is what SirGelatina’s issue probably was.

That was awesome. I played against a guy while I had basically no military and I won by sneaking around the back and taking all his tiny cities. Most fun I’ve had in a roblox game in a long time.

My suggestions are:

  • In the round summary add a border to the lines and circles so you can see dark colors like purple
  • In the round summary add a timeline slider that allows you to scroll through time and see the ownership of cities at different times so you can see how the game progressed.
