So, you just joined the Roblox Marvel Cinematic Universe (RMCU)? Sometimes joining a new group (especially a large one) can be very confusing… so, here’s a guide to hopefully take out that confusion! If you have any further questions, you can always DM an admin or even ask on the group wall.
GETTING A CHARACTER
The most important part of the RMCU is the Rp’s, and to Rp we need characters. First up is finding an open character that you would like to be. To find a character, check the Trello in the group’s desc. This shows all of the taken characters. To get a character, you have to apply. Applying is very easy, all you have to do is join the Discord and DM an Admin+ and they will walk you through applying. Once you send your application, it is then submitted to a panel of voters where it will be voted on and if it passes you get your character!
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU AS A CHARACTER
Once you get a role and begin to take part in the group’s Rps, it is your responsibility to portray your character accurately and professionally. Accurately means that it is true to the character’s origin/personality and within his/her scope of abilities. Professionally means not joking around, following the rules, and taking things seriously. If you can’t do either of these things, you may end up being revoked. We’re all about having fun, but at the same time we are a Rp group and we want to Rp. You’re also expected (perhaps most importantly) to be active. There’re normally anywhere between 2-4 Rps hosted per week, along with a few game-nights. The RMCU utilizes a Strike-system, which helps to ensure activity. If you are online, in-game, and not at a Rp without a decent excuse, you will receive a strike. If you get three strikes, your character is automatically revoked. If you attend a Rp, you may have a strike removed. You can also receive strikes and Discord Mutings for breaking the rules.
WEEKLY EVENTS
The RMCU hosts multiple events a week, these range from Roleplays to gamenights. Although there aren’t really set times that these will be hosted, they’re usually later in the evening and towards the end of the week.
SWITCHING CHARACTERS
You very well may decide that you have applied for the wrong character, and you would rather be someone else. At the RMCU, you can switch characters once every 2-3 months, or every reform period. Every so often the RMCU revokes inactive members and during those times anyone can switch to whatever character they want, as long as they go through the application process again.
KEEPING IN TOUCH
Since the application process is entirely on Discord, it is essential that you join it as soon as possible to receive your character. In addition, all time-sensitive announcements and group updates are usually announced in the Discord.
The RMCU always has something going on, and we’re not one of the biggest Marvel RP groups for no reason. The RMCU has one of the best communities out there, so come be part of it!
