10-51 Medical Code
The 10-51 Medical Code is the most important, highest priority code in our park. This code communicates to nearby leadership of a medical emergency taking place. This code will put the current radio channel into a 10-33, Signal 11 (Emergency Traffic Only, Medical Emergency).
Who can call a 10-51?
Any team-member in the park can call a confirmed 10-51.
Who responds?
Leadership who are certified in the Water Safety Team CPR, First Aid and AED Training within a 100 studs away from the emergency will respond.
Water Safety Team
Each zone of the park is staffed with two (2) assistant supervisors and the each zone is overseen by two (2) or three (3) supervisors. When a lifeguard activates the 10-51 Code, your assistant supervisor has thirty (30) seconds to respond to the emergency and the department supervisors will have one (1) minute and fifteen (15) seconds to respond. First Aid and a few people from leadership will also respond following.
Iām not sure if I should call it?
Safety is a top priority in our park. If you are unable to confirm the medical emergency, you will call over the radio ā10-51, Location, Code 3ā. This will prompt for a less-serious response.
Calling a non-confirmed 10-51 over the radio without it actually happening or confirmed will result in a serious to severe final documentation.
How do I call in a 10-51?
You will go onto the radio in the discord server, in channel two (2) and say:
10-51, Location, Code 2.
If you are unable to identify your location, you will say the nearest thing you see.
If you ever have questions about our 10-51 medical code, please reach out to your leadership team or First-Aid.
