this game looks amazing! the only problem i have is when you play on phone the GUI is way too big, so i couldn’t see most of the attacks. otherwise, this is a really good game. keep it up!
Game is nice, I played the tutorial on mobile and found some positives and some issues:
First the Positives:
I liked how the tutorial explained everything, and gave the level up and the badge, it’s a good way to keep people playing. Tutorial was place easy to locate with track and just made things a lot smoother.
I liked how buttons disappeared after use especially the parry button that was nice. I like the effect if the party when the whole npc turns grey and almost like stone. The stones falling during the double jump part of the tutorial was amazing, made it a really enjoyable game. I liked the twist of having you fight the boss at the end of the tutorial when people thought it was the end. Loved the simplicity of the GUI
Now the issues:
Biggest issue during tutorial, as a mobile player, the range on that lunge move is ridiculous especially in that kind of map. I use lunge once and it sends me a radius across of your island. I don’t know if that was the aim with your game because even the final tutorial boss had flinging moves. But it was absurd how the three times I died in the tutorial at the END was from using the lunge move.
I capitalised END because I died many times mid way through the tutorial due to the double jump. I dont know if it was bc how small the jump gui was but there was a massive issue with the double jump. I would jump and then jump again but still fall but go up like a few studs then Ofc fall in the void.
Also your respawns where you die during the double jump place need to be rotated I think, because I am spawning facing towards the direction I came from which led to be going backwards when I was rushing to get across.
The double jump place breaking apart i dont know could possibly be a bit quicker i dont know if you wanted them to panic or if I was rushing too much but it was snappy and swift as soon as you landed on the bridge causing me to panic and Ofc fall. But yh I think you should let your players take that bridge collapse in. I personally loved it.
During the tutorial i dont know if I was cause I wasnt paying attention but i dont know if the guide said take out your sword I was mega confused . I may have missed that but if you haven’t added that in the tut please do.
The tutorial felt a bit too easy, maybe that is what you were going for since it is a tutorial but having a player do 20 damage whilst the npc does 5 is eh. I played horribly and barely 15% of my health was gone.
Nearly forgot, the colours are very plain, at first I liked it until it got to the tutorial and I had to sit through and read those long texts, that are very informative btw. Honestly they bored me, but at the same time I’m VERY tired and I’m looking on a small screen. I do feel like you should add some colour to npc guide even if it is not that bright.
I have a love hate relationship with the map idea of islands rn, I think it’s a beautiful design and really impressed me as I joined but the moves sending me off the map every 2 second was really frustrating it but I assume it’s a game when you fling people off the island
The training dummies being one hit was confusing. Why are they called training dummies when they die to one hit, it kinda ruined the whole purpose of them being training dummies.
However you do not have to do any of that but this is my honest opinion as someone who has played many MANY combat games
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll be working on fixing the tutorial. I’m not sure what you mean by the dummies dying in one hit since they have full health. Unless you are talking about them falling over occasionally, which is a bug at the moment.
Oh don’t know if it was a bug then but when I was in the lobby, all the dummies were on really low hp and all died after one hit.
