Roblox animations - Exclusion bug [Solved]

Hello there,

I’ve recently come across an annoying bug that occurs when creating a new animation or updating an existing one. Whenever I exclude the “Torso” part and upload or update an animation, that specific change won’t save and will always automatically include the Torso part whenever I import the animation again or play the animation.

Steps I did:
1.) Create a new or import an existing animation.
2.) Exclude the “Torso” part
3.) Upload the animation
4.) Wait for the changes to be approved
5.) Reset the animation editor and import the animation
6.) The “Torso” part will still be checked.
7.) Testing the animation on a player in online mode will also show that the Torso isn’t ignored like it should be.

If you move the torso at all, a similer thing occurs. I think it only happens on keyframes where the torso isn’t rotated

There is an upgraded editor in the works. I’ll try to replicate this bug with the new editor to make sure this has been patched.

Here is a link to the thread that discusses the new editor: Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub

Here is a link to the experimental build of the editor: http://www.roblox.com/EditorV2-item?id=293289796

If you find any bugs you are aware of in V1 that happen in V2, please post it on that thread so I can fix it before updating the official editor plugin!

I couldn’t repro this in the V2 editor following the steps you gave. If you could test it out yourself and post the results that would be really useful! Hopefully it’s fixed

David fixed it in the v2 editor.

Thanks Rukiryo! Using the new editor, I’m happy to report that this particular bug no longer exists.
