Chat messages in other languages are no longer translating. I have been seeing messages in spanish and other languages and they have not been getting translated at all for at least the past 3 weeks. I considered there might be a short outage but the chat has not yet started translating text like it used to.

Is this related to a similar topic I made ? GetTranslatorForLocaleAsync is unrealible and doesn't work in studio
Still appears to be an issue 5 months later.
Hey @chesse20 - thanks for your report. We haven’t had any widespread chat translation issues, and the system seems to be working as expected. The mostly likely explanation is that some of the users you’re chatting with have their account language setting set to English, even though they’re chatting in another language. We don’t initiate translation if your account language is the same as the other user’s, regardless of what language they’re actually speaking.
This is a known limitation of the current chat translation system, and we’re exploring ways to translate based on the actual message language rather than the account language. But for now, unfortunately this is expected, so I’m going to close this thread out. Thanks again!

Well, if that’s the case so, then the whole point of chat translation becomes useless and irrelevant. Many people got their account language set to English but would chat in different languages. In fact, most people. I was really confused on why chat translation wasn’t working and now I realized it. Should’ve mentioned it when the feature was first released honestly.
