This is the correct place for the problem I am having. It is the server’s fault this is happening and I want to fix it.
ROBLOX chat will not work no matter what I do. I have tried putting in a custom chat script, following countless YT tutorials, doing the script module thing, and none of it seems to work, either in studio or in the real game. Well that’s the problem. This is the default chat FYI, and i’ve combed through any errors presented when the chat scripts are loaded, and there don’t seem to be any.
Does the chat GUI appear for you? When did this start happening in your game?
Sometimes it does, and sometimes it dosent. Probably an hour or two ago? I kept moving games and didnt do anything to them and the problem just seems to follow me.

Even when uninstalling and reinstalling Roblox Studio, was it still broken? And also when playing games you don’t own?
check to see if you have any coregui scripts. If that doesn’t work try what @Christian_Toney said. If that doesn’t work then it is most likely due to the downtime. There has been multiple reports that chat is laggy or doesn’t work.
When i play games I don’t own it works, and yeah even when I reinstall it.
All CoreGUI’s remain intact. I have no idea what is causing this problem.
make sure to send a bug report. Do you have any admin scripts? There has been a lot of havoc with them recently.
copy and paste the chat scripts and all while in game then paste them in chat once you are in developing mode.
then check out the scripts and see if there is a glitch.

joined it. Did you use any free models in the game? The chat doesn’t work for me either. Most likely a script.
