Consistently for the past few weeks, I’ve been unable to play roblox every Thursday.
For the entire day I’ll get a message saying “Roblox client is out of date. Please uninstall and try again”
I’ve tried reinstalling, clean reinstalling, and rebooting my computer, but nothing helps.

This is the most hilariously specific bug I’ve ever seen.

You can install, but when you press Play you see the message
“ROBLOX version is out of date. Please uninstall and try again.”
inside the client window?
Can you check what the version of the client you have installed via Applications → open context menu on Roblox → Get Info?

Client has to be the same version.
Try RobloxPlayerBeta.exe -v
(I think it’s -v for version? eh)
Could also be the server is out of date, not your client.
But that’s for windows and him and I are using macs… and wouldn’t the server being out of date affect all kinds of devices?

Sorry for bumping this, but I just ran into this. Just in case this happens to anyone else, here are the steps I followed to get it to update:
Check to see if it will actually update
If it doesn’t, then uninstall and then try to install and set up again.
If that doesn’t work, reboot and try again
This always works for me, as I just had to do it to be able to work on my game.
