Roblox Client Freezes Randomly — No Crash Message, Just Stops Responding

Hey y’all

I’ve been running into am issue with the Roblox Player client that I haven’t been able to resolve. Hoping someone here might have some insight or has experienced the same thing.

The issue:

Occasionally, while playing Roblox, my entire PC freezes for a few seconds — everything locks up, including mouse and keyboard input. After those few seconds, my system returns to normal except for the Roblox client.

The Roblox window remains open, but:

  • It completely stops responding
  • There’s no crash message, error popup, or auto-close
  • Audio sometimes keeps playing or gets stuck (not muted)

This happens randomly after extended play sessions (or few minutes after joining, though its rare sometimes), and doesn’t seem tied to a specific experience, graphics setting, or action. It’s really frustrating.

If anyone has suggestions, workarounds, or is experiencing the same issue, I’d like to hear from y’all.

I think we might have the same problem. Like 30 minutes ago i tried opening Roblox Studio and it upgraded itself then when opening it, it just started to crash at the start or after the start (like couple mins later). I like reinstalled it 4 times and right now i got a error message called “Broken Image”. It might be because of the Roblox version and i think they will fix it soon.

Or maybe it is because of your computer, did you try reinstalling it? (Reinstalling the Roblox**)

no not yet BUT, it’s not Roblox Studio, It’s the Roblox Player
