Earlier today I updated Roblox as per issue and before logging off of my computer for a bit, I logged off all other sessions from my phone. When I got back to my computer it wouldn’t work and I’ve logged into to multiple accounts, downloaded a new web browser, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, checked studio (it still works every time) and I’ve tried the control panel and task manager. It will download like normal then not open like at all, I then uninstall, and it uninstalls normally. I’m now stuck with no clue how to get it to work. My theory is that it has smth to do with the web app but obv can’t access it lol. (I’m out of options and need help) can provide video if needed.
ALSO! Before you ask, yes, I did try to run as administrator, but still no response.
Ive now also tried going into the file location and do robloxplayerlauncher with the old downloading screen and no improvement.
Did you try uninstalling it by clearing the data in the Appdata\Local\Roblox
folder?
If not then press Win + R to open the run dialog then type %localappdata%
and navigate to the file named roblox and delete it. Then you need to open the Registry Editor by pressing the Win key and typing it’s name, open the Registry Editor. Then you will see a screen like so:
Press the HKEY_CURRENT_USER button and a dropdown will appear like so:
Then press the SOFTWARE button and go to a folder named “Roblox” and “Roblox Corporation” and delete the two files. This would basically clean roblox from your computer, then you can reinstall it.
Before trying all this, try clearing browser cache and then try running roblox.
noticed this specifically on my new laptop with Windows 11 22H2
i havent done anything to the install and roblox wont launch at all
I tried this and it didnt work originally but i woke up sun 14 hours later and it started to work lol
