Roblox Client Unplayable from Lag

Since March 10th around 6:00pm Eastern and onward, the Roblox client is unplayable. I cannot move or type from the lag spikes (happening once every 2 seconds), and after being in the game for about 30-60 seconds, the client completely freezes and crashes.

Normally, I never experience lag of any kind. This issue, as of yesterday evening, has been happening to me in every single game 100% of the time even on am empty baseplate. However, it does not happen when playing in Roblox studio.

I have attempted reinstalling Roblox, changing graphic settings, switching devices, switching networks, different accounts etc. and nothing seems to change or fix the issue.

Here are the devices I’ve used and their specs:

  • 64gb IPad Pro
  • 64gb IPhone SE
  • Gigabyte Intel Core i7, 32gb RAM
  • Asus Intel Core i7, 8gb RAM

I am aware there were some issues yesterday (March 10th) on the website and game client, but it has been resolved and it appears others no longer have issues.

Note: @nurgenius and @InfinitylFalse are also experiencing this. Microprofiler dump for nurgenius using the lowest graphics level:

What are the system specs for this one? Looks like either a mac, or an integrated Intel.
Or both.

Added: @Jezzie_Dev also, what were the exact system specs of the machine used to capture that particular MP dump? Please include the GPU.

This dump doesn’t really capture the source of spikes. Here’s what I’d advise for getting a better one:

  • Open Profiler (via Ctrl+F6) and keep it running
  • Wait until the spike happens
  • Select dump → 512 frames option - this will generate a large file but you’d have ~10 seconds to do so after the spike for it to still capture the spike.

Intel(R) Core™ i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.60 GHz
Installed Ram: 32.0GB (31.9GB usable)
System type: 64 bit operating system, x64 based processor
Intel(R) HD Graphics 530
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M

Can you get these people to post a dump as well following the instructions I left to capture a large dump right after the spike?

@nurgenius @InfinitylFalse Can you upload a longer dump using the steps mentioned above and include the system specs of the devices you used to dump the log from?

Hi,

I am no longer experiencing lag spikes, I think this stopped right after few days away from March 10th, not exactly sure what caused it to stop lag-spiking.
