Since March 10th around 6:00pm Eastern and onward, the Roblox client is unplayable. I cannot move or type from the lag spikes (happening once every 2 seconds), and after being in the game for about 30-60 seconds, the client completely freezes and crashes.
Normally, I never experience lag of any kind. This issue, as of yesterday evening, has been happening to me in every single game 100% of the time even on am empty baseplate. However, it does not happen when playing in Roblox studio.
I have attempted reinstalling Roblox, changing graphic settings, switching devices, switching networks, different accounts etc. and nothing seems to change or fix the issue.
I am aware there were some issues yesterday (March 10th) on the website and game client, but it has been resolved and it appears others no longer have issues.
This dump doesn’t really capture the source of spikes. Here’s what I’d advise for getting a better one:
Open Profiler (via Ctrl+F6) and keep it running
Wait until the spike happens
Select dump → 512 frames option - this will generate a large file but you’d have ~10 seconds to do so after the spike for it to still capture the spike.
@nurgenius@InfinitylFalse Can you upload a longer dump using the steps mentioned above and include the system specs of the devices you used to dump the log from?
I am no longer experiencing lag spikes, I think this stopped right after few days away from March 10th, not exactly sure what caused it to stop lag-spiking.
