That would be because it is. Not only could people swear constantly, but you must have a verified phone number on your account, thus encouraging SIM Swapping. I think that Roblox should have thought this over a bit more; Especially the ‘Verified phone number’ part.
What does this icon mean?
My mic is there in settings, and have tried all the different inputs, but this icon does not go away
They can, actually. iOS users can simply hold down both the home screen button and the power button for a second and then release them to take a screenshot, and with Android it’s a similar method.
Yet, this method is not a well known way for many users (for example, I didn’t know about this)
lobbies use waypoints so if you miss one and die you will simple be taken back to the 1st step
I think a lot of people who have used a mobile device for a long time would know how to screenshot their device’s screen, since it’s a useful feature and easy to do.
I do find the Photo Booth to be rather pointless, though. It doesn’t present any special use since it’s basically just a background with the player sitting inside of the booth, (and would the screenshot mechanic from Hack Week be that hard to implement?) anybody could remake this exact scenario. What makes it less worthwhile is the fact that CoreGUIs are still visible in the screenshots that you take, so the Photo Booth is more so just an activity than a Social Feature like the OP is saying.
Solid arguments there, I imagine it would be no different then people by passing the text chat already, but there’s a video on twitter showing how simple it is to mute a specific person or the entire server.
It’s the same as when kids voice chat on PSN or Xbox Live in my opinion. Roblox wouldn’t be responsible as they have an age requirement to use the feature and a system to help moderate it, so if a kid was lying their age and had a negative encounter on a game, it’s their parents fault, They just gotta take some responsibility over their kids.
I support this idea completely as there’s not many times where we get something to test in that program.
Are you able to speak while that icon is visible? It’s possible it could be showing up as it’s not detecting your voice.
This feature is a strong representation of what ROBLOX has to offer for future capabilities and further engagement to the community. As impressive as voice chatting is, with the correct voice recognition AI to mute or ban someone, and possibly an age limit of 16+ or 18+, I find this to be brilliant. So far the only bugs that I’ve encountered is muting/unmuting causes it to break where you have to rejoin, but that’s an easy fix. I’m glad this growing platform is taking action on this Social Experiment/Experience.
Pretty sure it’s going to be 13+ based off an interview with roblox
The 18+ thing is old news. It’s 13+ with a verified phone number now.
It could potentially revert back to 18+ though considering the chaos that has already happened
the chaos that has already happened
wait what chaos has happened?
Hi, I got the message but I didn’t get the setting for it. Would someone be available to enable it for me, thank you.
Do you have a verified phone number? This is a requirement.
Can you at least explain which type of developers are being invited?
Thank you, I forgot about it I appreciate it
