Several months ago everything was fine, and I could play this game properly. The current behavior is that my Roblox client freezes either immediately (the loading screen) or after a couple seconds after the game loads in. This started happening when the Roblox 64-bit client update rolled out for me, somewhere around April 30th 2023 in the GMT+3 timezone, and persists to this day. This issue has been happening on both my old and new PC, aswell as both the Website and Microsoft Store versions of Roblox, no matter which account I use.
The issue happens both with and without browser extensions.
BROWSER VERSION: Opera One 100.0.4815.54
REPRODUCTION STEPS:
Join the game. It then crashes either on the loading screen or 1-2 seconds after loading in
This isn’t an engine bug, due to the fact it’s this game specifically and their game was updated within the last week. This is most likely due to a memory leak that was unintentionally created the last time the game was updated, involving the server or client trying to handle too much or unhandled events.
This issue has been happening for way longer since the game was last updated. What is really weird is the fact that this issue doesn’t affect everyone, as the game has active players every day.
Bumping this, by posting this to further support the fact that it isn’t a game issue - the game clearly has an active playerbase and yet I seem to not be able to join despite having a considerably beefy PC and up-to-date drivers.
UPDATE:
This issue is not an engine bug.
Just found out that the developers are horrible people who explicitly set up a script that prevents any Russian players from joining.
