Roblox crashes after a few seconds upon launching

Hello,
ever since I turned on my computer today, when I try opening Roblox, it crashes a few seconds after joining.
I tried looking for a solution to this issue and I tried a lot of things:

  • Reinstalled Roblox
  • Flushed DNS
  • Cleared Temp Files
  • Tried opening Roblox on clean boot
  • Cleared Windows Thumbnail Cache
  • Disabled EVERY drive on my PC, except my C: drive
  • Reinstalled drivers of GPU
  • Tried launching the game through an external launcher, such as Bloxstrap
  • Reinstalled Windows 11 (but kept the files)

Nothing worked.
I don’t use Vulkan Renderer.
Roblox had no problems yesterday, I could leave my account a whole day inside a game if I wanted to without any crashes.
I have not added any new program to my PC from a long time. It doesn’t make sense for there to be a conflicting application.

People said it could be from Hyperion, as that is how it kicks people out of the game. It can’t be any file on my PC, as Roblox had been running fine for so much time without a problem + I did try a clean boot with all my drives, except the C: drive, being disabled. My C: drive is pretty clean - I only have system files and steam games. My AppData folders mostly have steam game related folders.

OS - Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.26200.5516 (ge_release_upr)
OS Installation Date - 3/‎31/‎2025
CPU - Ryzen 5900x 12-Core Processor
RAM - 32 GB
GPU - RTX 4070 SUPER

I have included all the entire “Crashes” log folder in the private content section.
I am in the “Dev” build of Windows 11, so I receive updates quite frequently. I am guessing there is a high possibility a Windows update triggered this issue, considering the fact that my PC has stayed the same from months with the exception of Windows updates.

Thank you!

Hi there,

Can you do me a favor and try a non-Dev build of Windows 11 and see if the problem still occurs? We’re curious if there was an update there that introduced some stability issues.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, you cannot exit the Dev Channel of Windows unless you do a clean, brand new Windows installation. There are some exceptional moments, which happen very rarely, probably once in many months.
So, as much as I didn’t like it, I was forced to do do the first option. I am now no longer in the Insider Preivew Program and Roblox has not crashed for me from minutes.
I did try playing Roblox on the same Dev version of windows before doing the clean installation, but it was still crashing.
Normally you can say that the issue could have occured due to a certain file on my C: drive, but as I stated, it was pretty clean and everything was working perfectly with the same data inside it for months. I rarely download a new program. I still suspect a Windows update caused a stability issue, due to the nature of the Dev Channel, so it’s still a good idea to look into the crash logs.
With that being said, I can no longer give updates on what is going on in the Dev Channel of Windows, as I am also not planning on going back inside it.
