I’m so hyped for this, I’m really excited to know who is gonna win!
Good luck everyone!
If it’s not too much trouble, could you guys also give us feedback about the submitted games ? It’d be very beneficial for bettering our skills/learning what we could have improved on for the games.
Or an explanation of what made the winning games stand out might be more reasonable. That way we can compare what the winners did well to our own work and see what we could have done better.
It would be nice to see runner ups / special mentions as well though.
i forgot to set scales and packages, but youre really just supposed to push the pillars on the brown stuff
In the Terms of Participation it states and I quote
“Individuals may request the names of the Winners by submitting a
self-addressed stamped envelope prior to April 30, 2023 to: Roblox Challenge Contest
Winner’s List Request, 970 Park Place, San Mateo, CA 94403. Vermont residents may
omit postage”
good luck to everyone who entered
Note, what I’m saying is supported by educative sources but I’m not a professional.
If you want criticism I’d ask your playtesters. See what they do and find without you there and if the challenge they’re facing is something you expected. Of course information from professionals in the field is invaluable, but how your players view your games is more important.
Getting feedback on a game isn’t necessarily that difficult, it has to do with the feeling it gives us whenever the judges (staff) give feedback themselves. I can only really speak for myself, but I do believe it would make the contestants of the game jam feel more appreciated and acknowledged than they would be without it.
Hosting community events like this is an excellent choice by Roblox and I greatly appreciate the Roblox team for doing so, but previously not getting any word from Roblox (in past events) has really impacted the motivation of myself and my development team.
Community engagement is a topic for another thread so I won’t go on much longer, but personally speaking, I wouldn’t mind waiting a little longer for the results of the jam if it means they acknowledge all its participants.
This is a game we made as a team, where you can place NPCs, vehicles, obstacles, and create chain accidents. We hope you enjoy playing it.
We thank all the staff for organizing this event, which helped me get out of my development slump.
I recorded most of the process of this event, and I will make it into a Devlog. I hope I have time to make an English version.
We made this game during the gamejam time, I hope you like it.
When will the results be released?
Our game was accidentally updated, who should we contact to ensure we aren’t disqualified?
Hello @PinkFoxsil , as this is happening to me
Your Experience i think it was not accidentally updated, it’s roblox that updated it without a real “Command”
Take a look at the API Data,
Last Update was 2023-03-21T
but experience said 3/25/2023
, There’s something wrong with the website, i have already informed via guilded bri9adeiro and Opened a Bug Report post for this, Today it’s Sunday so for answer we should at least wait Monday.
Might This happend to you too @index_nil ?
Our game (The Potion Master - Roblox) was updated twice within the past two days.
None of us updated it or changed anything.
This is the version history:
The version history shows 2 updates on the 26th (893) and 27th (894) which should not exist
The previous update (892) on the 21st was our final version, published before the deadline. The two new updates are not published, and should contain no new changes.
Edit: Ive just seen that others are experiencing this issue and it seems to be a bug of some sort, should I still be worried?
Hey! Thank you for letting us know! You don’t need to worry
Any ETA for when results will be released? Very excited!
5th of april. its in the terms and conditions
Only just noticed I made my game on the 16th, which is clearly a day before the Game Jam started, however, it was simply to be ready to start the next day i.e. was an empty baseplate, etc with nothing.
After seeing the Terms of Participation would this mean I’m now disqualified even though I hadn’t done anything till the event started?
As long as you didn’t make any edits I am sure it is fine.
