Roblox doesn't work when joining from website on Windows version 24H2

When updating to windows version 24H2, Roblox will not launch from the website, instead it gives the error:

“the code exececution can not proceed because robloxplayerbeta.dll was not found”

However, when launching from the app it works perfectly fine. I have also seen someone else with this bug here

@0ElonMuskEnjoyer0 Thank you for the report. I have a few questions:

  • Have you used any 3rd party installers (like Bloxstrap)?
  • While Roblox is running (starting from the app), can you right click on the Roblox icon on your task bar, right click again on Roblox Player, click Properties, then Details tab? What do you see under File Location?
  • Have you tried re-installing? Could you also send me a screenshot of your %localappdata%\Roblox\Versions and %localappdata%\Roblox\Versions\version-<latest version> folders?

Hi, thank you for responding. Unfortunately, I cannot answer most of those questions as I have reinstalled Roblox, which fixed the issue. However, I can say a few things.

  • Have you used any 3rd party installers (like Bloxstrap)?
I was not using any 3rd party applications (such as Bloxstrap).

  • Have you tried re-installing? Could you also send me a screenshot of your %localappdata%\Roblox\Versions and %localappdata%\Roblox\Versions\version-<latest version> folders?
I did check those folders when it was still broken. From what I saw they looked normal and had all of the components (including RobloxPlayerBeta.dll). I even reinstalled it from the folder and as far as I could tell it didn’t really look any different (although I didn’t really fully check the folder from before and after)
