I’m attempting to create an ATV utilising roblox’ endorsed vehicle system. Im approaching this by resizing and shrinking down the chassis of an already fully functioning vehicle. However, by shrinking it down to a small size the vehicle becomes extremely unstable and players who enter the vehicle get launched millions of studs away. Does anyone know what the issue is and or know of any solutions. This has been plaguing me for quite some time!
**Edit: I may have placed this topic into the wrong category …oops

Hey,
have you tried lowering the stiffness and length of the suspension
and you are sure that each element is scaled correctly and is in a similar position as before scaling.

Helor,
Due to the whole vehicle being massless besides from 2 weight parts at both wheels and it being such a small chassis, the issue turned out to be the players actual weight being too much for it too handle. Luckily I have since fixed this issue although another has arisen. The steering for the vehicle is now unstable and gets affected when the vehicle accelerates, It also has a chance to lock up and be unresponsive to input.

Hey,
check if SteeringPrismatic has the appropriate MaxForce, I noticed that when this value is too little or too much, the car turns on its own.

Is there any rulesets or something specific that it should be set at or do I just eyeball it?

I don’t know, try /2 or *1.5, if it helps, try to guess

I’ve gone ahead and tried some different things and tweaked with the prismatic but the issue still persists. These are the current statistics for the SteeringPrismatic if that’s any help. I really don’t know what else to try now.

what will happen if you set it to 3000-5000

Nope the issue still persists. I think I’m just going to have to send it over to another team member and let them have a crack at it. Thank you for responses, I greatly appreciate the help!

Have you tried using a chassis?
There shouldnt be a problem with them when it comes to scaling objects.

Our community is very fond of the endorsed system and in our opinions it feels better than a-chassis.
