Roblox Essentials - Applying Sound onto a part and looping

Hey, this is my new project or album called Roblox Essentials. In this series of posts i will teach the basic things to get started in studio. We will go by the way you know how to orientate in Roblox Studio now.

Highly for newbies

Sounds

The most basic thing in every game is sound design. Can be used for many things. Adding ambience, tension or much more! Or also in our case adding sound effect to boiling water in a pot.

So let’s begin our simple but learning task!

1. Download the pre-made template files.

Open the downloaded .rbxl type file and look around. find the small “kitchen”.

2. Find “ServerStorage” in the Explorer.

Locate the ServerStorage file in the explorer to find more things to use!

3. Open it, drag the “Pot” into Workspace

Now that you drag the pot into workspace it will be automatically moved onto the stove. But. We still do not have any sounds.

4. Drag the “Boiling” sound into the pot.

You will drag the sound into the pot to make the sound play from the pot. If you leave it in the workspace it will play like a background music. Just everywhere.

5. The sound in the pot does not play forever.

To fix that issue we will look into the sounds properties. Try to navigate with this. Playback → Looped and set that true or make the check mark blue.

And there you have it.

You have now learned how to: Make a sound play from a specific object forever (looped). And repeated the basics of using the Explorer and Properties window.

Comment what Roblox Essentials post should i do next! What to make better or what to change. Anything.
