So my Experience, Ro-Loader, which is on my community Glitchies Inc., is about using API to show information of a Community/User/Asset while allowing the creators to set themes or designs for their creations and show people what it looks like!
Devices & Playability
I would best Recommend and the experience was optimized for, in order of best quality/layouts and performance:
Computer
Best Performance, most viewable Content, small cards.
Tablet [Recommended Platform]
Best Sizing and fitting. Selections perform great.
This’ll be a log of updates and Features and I want to hear thoughts and ideas the community may have!
Here are some of the current additions to the 3.3 Update which is not yet released, including User Ads, Blockable Communities/Users/Experiences, In-Set Menu:
Before final accurate prices, you can input either an end date or a duration of days, and that’ll calculate the price live as you leave the text box. Note: Prices go down per day the longer you set the duration for. Prices are not final are will be subject to change!
Here is how the ads appear, minus the report button:
RoFurCon is owned by me, and therefore was very good sample to use to test uploading and displaying advertisements!
When you open the page, if you are the player the page is for or you’re ranked 240 (I can’t remember) or above in a the group, then you’ll see purple “theme” button which’ll open an editor pictured below:
As you make an edit in the editor, it updates live in the page your editing.
Note: Only Staff have the ability to apply tags like the “Glitchies Inc.” one you see around the other images on the cards. If your group has the “verified” badge then it would be applied automatically as a verified badge upon editing the theme!
Looking forward, some planned or ideas I’ve had to extend the playability is:
3D Avatar Preview: I want to make it possible to view player’s avatars in a 3d space (viewport frame) but my skills don’t reach far enough yet but I’ve been improving in that area already with other projects.
Extended Theme Editing: As of current, the theme editor is very limited as a bar that appears out of the top bar, 3.3 changes that to a “topbar2”. I want to improve the editor to have more options and clearer options, as of current the buttons are just small images with vague connections. Good luck.
Improved Error Detection: As of current, it spits out the exact error in code format to the loading page. It would help to read and translate it to more specific popular occurrences like “Too Many HTTP Requests”, or “Wrong Data Returned” instead of “Data is not a member of parent.parent.parent.nil (output formatting of course)”
This game has amassed over thousands of lines of code and months of deep learning and effort, so at least give it a play would make me happy!
